The SHC Meltewitz Offroad-Team e.V. in the ADAC was founded in 2008. After a few years, we realized that we were missing the next generation in the club. Since we were not alone with such a problem, a trainer training was initiated by the ADAC Saxony in 2012. We took advantage of this opportunity and had two trainers trained in 2013. From that point on, we trained our first three children – our junior team was born. The team quickly grew to almost 20 children and the idea for a classic children's enduro as a performance comparison was born. In 2015 the time had finally come and the first children's and youth enduro was held on our premises in the former Dornreichenbach quarry. This event was a complete success and so in 2016, with the support of the ADAC Saxony, the Enduro Youth Cup Saxony Series (EJC Sachsen) developed. The series got off to a successful start and even spread to other federal states. In the meantime, the Enduro Youth Cup exists in Brandenburg, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia, Bavaria, Hesse and Lower Saxony. Even in our junior team, the development did not slow down and more and more children from near and far are taking advantage of our weekly training offer. In the meantime we have over 50 children, who are looked after by 8 trainers and instructors. In addition to the trainings, 1-2 training camps per year are also held with the friendly motorsport club "Offroadclub Hilmersdorf. Hilmersdorf and Meltewitz are official talent bases of the ADAC Saxony and the Saxon State Association - SLM. Another highlight was the organization of Germany's first official German Championship on 04.11.2023 on our grounds. Where it all began – that made us very proud. But we want to go further! The first European Championship race is to be held this year. After races in Italy and France, the elite of the European Enduro youth come to us in the Lossa Valley. For us, this task is a great challenge, but we will face it with pleasure, well aware that it will cost a lot of energy, time, but also money. We are very confident that this event will be a complete success with the help and support of many sponsors, helpers, the municipality of Lossatal, the cities and municipalities in the Wurzener Land as well as the district and will make our region Wurzener Land known throughout Europe.
